The 2014 Tri-State Chinese American Chemical Society (CACS) Annual Symposium will be held on Saturday, June 28, 2014 from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM at Busch Campus Center, Rutgers University, Piscataway, NJ (604 Bartholomew Rd, Piscataway, NJ 08854). The symposium is co-sponsored by the Department of Medicinal Chemistry and Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy, Rutgers University.
Attendance is free to all professionals and students in chemical sciences and related fields. Please register at http://tristatecacs.org/ by June 21. Complimentary breakfast and lunch will be provided to all registered symposium participants.
The theme for this year’s symposium is “Transforming Chemical Sciences into Better Living – Education, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship”. We are living in a world that is changing rapidly. Chemical, energy, and pharmaceutical businesses are no exceptions. Prominent speakers at the upcoming CACS Annual Symposium will showcase how chemistry improves the quality of our lives in a variety of areas through education, innovation, and entrepreneurship. Confirmed speakers for the symposium are leaders from various institutions, including academic, chemical, energy, semiconductor materials, specialty chemicals, pharmaceutical CRO, and professional societies.

During the symposium, a vendor exhibition will be held in parallel to the podium presentations. There will be plenty of social and networking opportunities. Multiple companies will post job openings and collect resumes at the symposium. In addition, career consultants and recruiters will provide on-site career advices. CACS-Tristate Chapter is a nonprofit organization that has served the Tri-state region since 1981. Its mission is to provide opportunities of professional development, learning and relationship-building for Chinese chemical professionals from the United States and Greater China in the chemical and pharmaceutical industries. The symposium has, in the past, featured speakers from and held panel discussions participated by ACS presidents, corporate leaders, entrepreneurs and policy makers on topics ranging from global business and career opportunities, challenges that face the profession of chemistry, healthcare, energy, environmental issues, and the place of chemistry in humanity.
